SELA Gold or Parboiled rice consists of extra long grain. Well known for its volumetric transformation when cooked it is an ideal rice grain to cook biryani, zarda and pulao.
Soak 1 cup (200gm) rice in water for 30-45 minutes, then drain out the water.
Boil 6-8 cups of water. Add soaked rice. Cook uncovered for 15-20 minutes on medium heat while stirring occasionally.
Remove from stove and drain out water. Fluff and serve.
